Scuderia Vittoria Targeting Strong Snetterton Weekend

2 Mins read

Scuderia Vittoria is hoping to achieve even more success at Snetterton this weekend in the AirAsia Renault Clio Cup, following two victories at Oulton Park last time out.

Recent signing to the KX Akademy scheme, Stefan Hodgetts earned praise as he was able to score double success for the team on his return to the series.

The result has left Hodgetts in a positive mood ahead of this weekend’s two rounds at Snetterton in Norfolk.

“I can’t wait to get back in the car this weekend, we’re definitely coming to Snetterton 300 to add two more race wins to the tally,” explained Hodgetts.

“The summer break has allowed me to get a few days of testing behind me, so I’m feeling very strong ahead of the weekend, I’m confident that Scuderia Vittoria can provide me with a very good package.”

“In the past I wasn’t a huge fan of the old circuit layout but the new 300 setup is a real challenge, I love it! I’m just really looking forward to getting out there and moving forward with the team and the KX Akademy.”

Scuderia Vittoria’s other drivers are also hoping for a strong weekend.

2008 Scottish Mini champion, Vic Covey, is aiming to build on his strong season with some more top ten results.

“The summer break has given me the perfect chance to regroup and I’m feeling very refreshed,” said Covey. “I think that Snetterton 300 is a circuit that suits my driving style so I’m relishing the opportunity of being able to get out there this weekend.”

“The first half of the season has been quite an adjustment from what I had raced previously, but I’m ready to push on and improve on my current placing of tenth in the championship standings.”

Finlay Crocker and Ronnie Klos are hopeful of strong results also as they continue to build experience in the highly competitive Clio championship.

“Snetterton 300 is a circuit that I feel very comfortable on,” said Crocker. “I’ve raced here twice before and it’s a circuit that I have gained some good results on in the past.”

“We’ve been working very hard since the last round at Oulton Park back in June, it really feels like it is paying dividends and I’m feeling a lot more at home in the car.”

“The AirAsia Renault Clio Cup is such a close one-make category but I’m confident that I can put together all the attributes that I have learnt over the break and work towards two top ten finishes this weekend.”

Klos added, “This will be my first visit to Snetterton 300 this weekend but I’m feeling very confident. It looks like a very quick and technical circuit but I feel like I am adjusting to the Clio Cup car well so far, I think that we can go out there this weekend and run in the top 14 on the grid.”
