1 Mins read

The organisers of the BRDC Formula 4 Championship have announced a new prize for the top drivers in the championship in 2013.

The prize will see the top six F4 drivers at the mid-season point rewarded with a special tour of the renowned McLaren Technology Centre at Woking. The comprehensive tour will allow the drivers and a guest the chance to see the departments involved in the production and operation of the teams F1 cars, the McLaren simulator and the special collection of McLaren F1 cars on show.

“We have a strong history of nurturing young talent, and look forward to playing a part in inspiring a generation of Formula 4 drivers,” said Martin Whitmarsh, Team Principal of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes.

“We are extremely appreciative of McLaren’s interest in supporting worthy young driver initiatives and the mid-season visit to MTC will provide tremendous motivation to F4 drivers to make the cut. There is no question the visit will be the experience of a lifetime,” added Formula 4 Series Director Jonathan Palmer.
