Team GB Hero To Join Ginetta Grid At Donington

1 Mins read

Double London 2012 gold medallist Jason Kenny will be swapping two wheels for four as he makes his car-racing debut in the final rounds of the Total Quartz Ginetta GT5 Challenge at Donington Park at the end of the month.

Kenny, who took gold medals in the Team Pursuit and Individual Sprint in the London Velodrome, will visit the Ginetta factory in the run up to the meeting to get some tips from keen cyclist and Ginetta chairman Lawrence Tomlinson, before joining the grid for the season finale of the single-make championship.

Tomlinson said: “Ginetta are proud to welcome a fellow Northerner into our racing family; Jason Kenny is a great British role model and it’s fantastic to know he also owns a great British sports car! I’ll be happy to give him some racing advice, and will no doubt be picking his brains for cycling tip. Here’s hoping he can do Team GB proud at Donington Park.”
