Hillspeed Expand Into BRDC Formula 4 For 2013

1 Mins read

Front-running British race team Hillspeed have become the latest outfit to join the BRDC Formula 4 Championship for 2013.

The Hathersage-based outfit have enjoyed title glory in the Protyre Formula Renault BARC Championship and Ginetta Junior Championship in recent seasons, and will now bring that experience into Formula 4 from next year.

“We’re absolutely delighted to be involved with the new BRDC Formula 4 Championship”, said team principal Richard Ollerenshaw, “It provides an excellent opportunity for young drivers to make the transition from karting into single-seaters, and at sensible budgets too. With the might of MSV and the BRDC behind it the championship will, I’m sure, be a major success.

“It’s clearly been well thought out, is very well structured and we’re obviously very happy to be involved from the beginning. Formula 4 will add another rung to Hillspeed’s ladder of progression and we’re determined to maintain our record of winning in every series we’ve taken part in.”
