Watson Geared Up For Ginetta Junior Winter Series

1 Mins read

Andrew Watson has his eyes set on title glory as he confirms his entry into the 2012 ATL Racing Fuel Cells Ginetta Junior Winter Series.

Watson heads into the season-ending, three race championship at Rockingham on the back of a fantastic maiden season in the Ginetta Juniors. Running with Douglas Motorsport, Watson finished fifth in the championship with six podiums to his name, including a stunning maiden win during the penultimate meeting at Silverstone.

Now his focus is on Rockingham, where Watson will be looking to avenge a disappointing weekend in Northamptonshire during the main championship and secure the Winter Series title.

Despite a slightly disappointing weekend results wise in Rockingham as part of the championship this year, I know exactly where I could have improved,” said Watson. “I had the pace in both races but was hampered by a bit of bad luck, and maybe the odd bit of over exuberance! However I’m confident that I can return with that pace again and I’m aiming to finish the season on a high by adding my name to the impressive list of previous winners.”
