Cook ‘Honoured’ To be Named BRDC Rising Star

1 Mins read

Renault Clio Cup UK front-runner Josh Cook has been named a BRDC Rising Star.

Cook is one of a number of driver’s being added to the prestigious scheme, which sees the brightest young British racing talents taken under the wing of the British Racing Drivers Club.

The 21 year old enjoyed a strong debut season in the Clio’s in 2012, taking a stunning double win at Silverstone on his way to ….. overall in the championship and the Rookie Cup honours.

The accolade has fired Cook up as he aims to challenge for the Clio title this season with new team JHR Developments.

“Receiving the interview invitation came as a little bit of a shock,” Cook told TheCheckeredFlag.co.uk. “The BRDC is such a prestigious club to be part of and it’s an honour to be recognised.  It’s always difficult to gauge how your career path is progressing and this has only fuelled my passion and desire to get to the top.”
