Successful aesthetic medicine physician-turned racer Dr Barbara Kubicka will become the latest entrant for the 2013 Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge.
Polish-born Dr Kubicka will pursue her dream of becoming a professional racing driver by partaking in the British GT and F3-supporting Ginetta championship, having already had experience in both karting and as a rally co-driver.
The establisher of the Clinicbe brand says she also hopes to set a positive example to patients at her exclusive clinic in Belgravia, Knightsbridge, saying: “I have decided to finally pursue a dream of my own and have entered the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge, where I will be competing in a series of races. This is something I have always been passionate about.
“I have previously had experience in karting and as a rally co-driver, but never quite made the time to take it more seriously. Now I am setting an example for my patients, hoping to inspire women to see that the seemingly impossible really can become reality if you are determined to make it happen.”
In 2011, Dr Kubicka climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and raised over £100,000 for the A21 campaign to stop human trafficking as part of the Climb4Freedom team; whilst in 2012 she was part of a humanitarian aid team carrying out essential healthcare for those living with the after-effects of an earthquake.
Her first race in the Protyre Ginetta GT5 Challenge will take place on March 30 at Cheshire’s Oulton Park circuit.
