Well-established Caterham team Fauldsport are to embark on their first full-season campaign in the 2013 MSA British Endurance Championship in a Ginetta G55.

Former Caterham champion Flick Haigh, who won in her class at last year’s BEC Donington night race and also took part in the Dunlop 24H Dubai, will drive the car for the majority of the 2013 season, and will be likely be joined by Ryan Ratcliffe. Ratcliffe finished third in last year’s Ginetta GT5 Challenge. The team has yet to confirm any other drivers.

Driver coach Simon Mason, who will take a consultancy role for 2013, spoke of the team’s enthusiasm for their latest venture:  “This is an exciting time for the team who are very enthusiastic about the move into endurance racing. I’ve worked with [team owner] Stuart [Faulds] in Caterham racing for many years; his attitude and understanding of car prep and racing is perfect for endurance racing,” he explained. “Given the right car and drivers they will be unstoppable, just like TJH Motorsport was a few years ago.”

The team is also planning a Production Cup entry, which will be announced soon.

The 2013 BEC season begins on April 11th and www.TheCheckeredFlag.co.uk will once again be providing full coverage from the pit-lane of every event.
