Ginetta’s long-standing trackside tyre supplier, Protyre Motorsport, have today confirmed their title sponsorship of the re-branded Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge.

Protyre Motorsport supplies the racing rubber for all three of Ginetta’s single-make championships – the Ginetta GT Supercup, Junior Championship and GT5 Challenge, and will become the title sponsor of the British GT-supporting GT5 Challenge for 2013.

Lawrence Tomlinson, Chairman of Ginetta Cars, added; “We are delighted to further our professional involvement with Protyre Motorsport this season. Ginetta have enjoyed a long and successful relationship with the brand, and there’s little doubt they are a fitting title sponsor.”

Protyre Motorsport Manager Shaun Chetwyn said: “We are very proud to be allowed to support the continued success of Ginetta Cars and we hope to continue to do so for many more years to come.”

Max Gregory, Championships Manager at Ginetta, added: “Both Protyre and Ginetta have over 50 years’ experience in the automotive industry, and their ethos of providing top-level service to their customers is synonymous with that of Ginetta. To be able to announce a partnership with a company as respected as Protyre Motorsport, is a real asset to the Championship.”

The series continues to receive high interest from competitors ahead of the forthcoming season, which gets underway on March 30.
