Scuderia Vittoria will combine with Strata 21 ahead of the 2013 season, with Alex Drabble and David Pittard confirmed as the team’s drivers for the coming season.

The front-running Ginetta GT5 Challenge and UK Renault Clio Cup squad will launch a full-championship campaign in 2013, forming what they are calling ‘SV21’ by merging with Strata 21.

20 year-old Drabble switched from British Formula Ford to the Ginetta GT5 Challenge back in November, while Pittard enters the series after being crowned Class 4 champion in the British Endurance Championship, as well as reaching the final 12 of the KX Akademy.

“I’m pleased to announce that we will form a partnership with Strata 21 ahead of the 2013 Ginetta GT5 Challenge season,” said team director Piers Masarati.

“I think that both drivers will be very impressive during their first season in the series, and we expect to be right up there challenging for the title as the year concludes.”

Pittard commented: “I’m very pleased to be associated with such a high profile team for 2013, the setup is perfect and I would like to thank Nationwide Driver Supply for making this deal possible.”

“We have a strong line-up for this year and I’m really looking forward to racing with Alex, I think that we will both prove to be very competitive.”
