Paterson Stays In Juniors Under Iconic Border Reivers Banner

1 Mins read

Scottish driver Elliot Paterson has confirmed plans to return to the Ginetta Junior Championship for a second year in 2013.

Paterson heads into the new campaign looking to challenge for the championship title, having secured his first-ever podium during the recent ATL Racing Fuel Cells Ginetta Junior Winter Series.

For the new season, Paterson will run under the famous Scottish motorsport banner “Border Reivers”, after his father Russell Paterson was granted the rights to use the name from Ian Scott Watson, it’s long time custodian.

“It’s a real privilege to be racing under the Border Reivers banner – the name is synonymous with some of the greatest racers in our history, and I am determined to do them proud,” said Elliot.

“I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel of my G40; last year was a real learning curve for me, but now that I have the knowledge of the tracks under my belt, and the great results at the winter series, I feel I am ready for the title challenge.”
