Peter Felix will make his first appearance in the Renault UK Clio Cup for around five years this weekend at Rockingham.
Felix will race with 20Ten Racing, the team who have been running him in the Michelin Clio Cup Series this season. The 43 year old has taken one win so far at Croft in July.
Felix last raced in the Clio Cup in 2008 and his best finish of that season, a ninth place, came at Rockingham.
“I’m under no illusions at all,” said Felix, who will be eligible for the Masters Cup class. “It’s going to be great being back in the championship, we’ve had a pretty good run in the Clio Series this year and it’ll be another car on the grid for 20Ten which is obviously good.
“I have had a run on the Dunlop tyres and they’re a little different to say the least! I just want to enjoy it and try and stay with the other Masters guys.”
