Pattison Sets Rockingham Friday Testing Pace

Lee Pattison topped the timesheets during Renault UK Clio Cup testing at Rockingham ahead of the penultimate meeting of the 2013 season.

The JHR Developments driver led the way on combined times from the day’s two 45 minute sessions, his best time of 1m 31.092s from the morning session putting him on top,

Second fastest on the combined times, and quickest in the afternoon, was Stefan Hodgetts, the Scuderia Vittoria ace going to within a mere 0.055s of Pattison’s best with a lap of 1m 31.147s.

James Colburn also ended the day within a tenth of a second of Pattison, the Westbourne Motorsport racer’s best of 1m 31.170s putting him third, 0.078s away from Pattison’.

Josh Wakefield delivered his best showing of the season with the fourth fastest time, little more than 0.1s shy of his team-mate Hodgetts. Ant Whorton-Eales went fifth quickest meanwhile, making it three Scuderia Vittoria cars in the top five.

Ash Hand was the best of the Team Pyro contingent in sixth overall ahead of Josh Cook, the top seven separated by less than half a second.

Jordan Stilp, Ignas Gelzinis and Devon Modell rounded out the top ten in the times, while championship protagonists Josh Files and Paul Rivett ended the day 13th and 22nd respectively.

Renault UK Clio Cup debutant Luke Herbert ended the day 18th, while fellow Michelin Clio Cup Series racer Peter Felix was 23rd quickest on his return to the series.
