Rdest Races To ‘Who Zooms’ Award Success

1 Mins read

Malgosia Rdest wrapped up the 2013 BRDC Formula 4 Championship ‘Who Zooms Award’ at the final meeting of the season at Donington Park.

The prize, provided by telecommunications company Yoozoom, was introduced to reward the driver who made up the most amount of places compared to their starting positions over the course of the season.

Polish racer Rdest, who runs with Douglas Motorsport, has led the leaderboard almost all season and ended the campaign with a total of 72 overtakes in 24 races, 12 more than nearest rival Gustavo Lima.

“I am so, so happy!” said Rdest, pictured with Yoozoom’s managing director Alex Deighton. “I’ve made lots of overtakes and the last race was really good for me. I had the pace and was closer than ever to the other cars. I could feel them and I could race with them which is really good. To get this prize in my first ever season of racing in cars, and to win £5,000, I don’t know what I will be doing with the £5,000, but I do know I will be putting it towards my development in motorsport.”
