Ferrer Signs Up For Winter Series Double

1 Mins read

Matteo Ferrer has completed a deal to compete in both the BRDC Formula 4 Winter Championship and Protyre Formula Renault Autumn Cup with MGR Motorsport next month.

The programme will see Ferrer make his Formula 4 category debut, having completed his first season of competitive motorsport in 2013 in Formula Renault.

Ferrer was a regular top ten finisher through the season, taking a best finish of fourth on the penultimate weekend at Rockingham, the venue for the Autumn Cup.

“I’m looking forward to racing three consecutive weekends in a row, gaining more on track experience in the two series and improving my race craft. I’m also pleased to have the challenge of learning a different car,” said Ferrer.

The 18 year old completes MGR Motorsport’s line-up for the F4 alongside Pietro Fittipaldi, while the team still have one car to fill for the Renault’s.

Ferrer’s busy month will start with the F4 opener at Snetterton on 9-10 November, followed by the Renault Autumn Cup at Rockingham a week later, then the F4 closer at Brands Hatch on 23-24 November.
