Cook And Bushell Join 20Ten For 2014 Clio Cup

Renault UK Clio Cup front-runners Josh Cook and Mike Bushell will be teaming up next season to lead a three-car attack from 20Ten Racing on the 2014 championship, according to reports.

The Derbyshire-based outfit ran Cook to two outright wins and the Rookie Cup honours in 2011, before the 21 year old switched to JHR Developments this season. He took victory in the final race of a frustrating year to finish up fifth in the points.

Bushell meanwhile had a mixed second season in the Clio’s this year, finishing fifteenth in the points after a campaign which included a three-event spell with KX Akademy backing and a BTCC debut at Knockhill in IP Tech Race Engineering’s NGTC Chevrolet Cruze.

Both drivers will be heading into the new campaign with a firm focus on challenging for the title in the inaugural season for the new turbocharged fourth-generation Clio’s, which they both tested for the first time earlier this month at Donington Park.

“Josh was keen on a two-car attack so both drivers came together and can push each other. It was gutting to lose Josh last season but I believe both will be running in the top five next year,” 20Ten boss Simon Hunt told Motorsport News.
