Fielding Confirms F4 Return With HHC

1 Mins read

Sennan Fielding has confirmed his return to the BRDC F4 Championship for the upcoming Winter Championship with HHC Motorsport.

The 17 year old competed in the first three rounds of the main season with Douglas Motorsport, before his season was curtailed due to funding problems. He had taken a best finish of fifth at Brands Hatch Indy in May.

Prior to his move into single-seaters, Fielding had competed in the Ginetta Junior Scholarship, the series’ former scholarship winner finishing runner-up  in 2012.

“I’m really looking forward to getting back into racing!” said Fielding. “It feels like a long time coming but I’ve been able to get some good testing under my belt with the team last week and I’m confident that with the team we can go onwards and upwards. We won’t know until the weekend where we stand, but we’re confident of strong results.”

Fielding joins fellow Ginetta Junior graduate Will Palmer in HHC’s line-up for the Winter Championship.

“I’m delighted to confirm Sennan with the team for the Winter Championship,” said HHC Team Principal Charlie Kemp. “He showed a lot of promise during the rounds he contested early in the season, and he’s gone very well in testing with us, so we expect to be running at the front again.”

Also announcing his entry into the winter series today is Dimitris Papanastasiou, the Greek racer joining Jake Cook at Hillspeed. The 30 year old competed in Formula Palmer Audi in 2008 and 2009, before taking a break from racing.

“I’m very excited to be racing with Hillspeed. They are a front running team with a rich history and many championship successes, and I am really looking forward to working with them,” Papanastasiou commented. “I’d be delighted if I’m running inside the top five but if I can be running in the top half of the field I’ll be happy.”
