William Dunlop Joins Tyco Suzuki For 2014

1 Mins read

William Dunlop will race for Tyco Suzuki in the 2014 motorcycle road racing season.

The 28-year-old will ride the GSX-R machinery at headline events, such as the Isle of Man TT and the North West 200, alongside fan favourite, Guy Martin.

“Now that I have it all signed off I’m pretty excited to be honest,” said Dunlop. “I know how fast the Tyco Suzuki GSX-R600 is and can’t wait to get started.”

Team manager Phillip Neill also expressed his delight at the new partnership with the Ballymoney rider.

“It was a fairly last minute agreement with William, but one that we are delighted to announce, and our goal is now to help him achieve his first Isle of Man TT victory in 2014.” said Neill. “William is a very talented rider and I believe he’s now at the right stage of his career to challenge for victories at all three internationals, and not just in the 600 class I might add, as he’s also a very good Superbike rider.”

Dunlop’s brother, Michael, who took four wins at the 2013 Isle of Man TT races, recently announced he would not be riding for the Honda TT Legends outfit in 2014.
