Ginetta Return For Hadfields With Family Team

1 Mins read

Sibling duo Ryan and Jonathan Hadfield will return to the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2014 with their own, newly established team, R & J Motorsport.

The Derbyshire-based racers made their Junior debuts last season, with older brother Ryan contesting the full season, whilst Jonathan joined the grid for the final six races of the year.

Ryan enjoyed a consistent campaign, taking sixteen top ten finishes in twenty races, securing a best finish of eighth on three separate occasions. With that experience under his belt, the 16 year old is targeting a title challenge this year.

“Returning to the Ginetta Junior Championship for 2014, I am hoping my experience of all the circuits will stand me in good stead when it comes to competing for podiums and championship positions.  I had a great time last season and just hope 2014 can go above and beyond that,” said Ryan.

Jonathan meanwhile ended his six-race stint in the main championship with an eighth place finish in the final round of the season at Brands Hatch, and added to his experience levels

“I loved watching the Ginetta Junior Championship on television and after watching Ryan racing, I was really keen to get involved myself,” added Jonathan. “I had a great time during the final rounds and at the ATL Racing Fuel Cells Ginetta Junior Winter Series last year, and hope to be able to bring home some great results in 2014.”
