Ginetta Juniors race-winner Ollie Chadwick will compete in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge next season with new outfit Xentek Motorsport.
Chadwick has competed in the BTCC-supporting Junior Championship for the past three seasons, carding three race wins and eight other podium finishes. The 17 year old took a best championship finish of fourth last season.
Xentek are a division of JHR Developments, the team that ran Chadwick throughout his Junior career. The new team is run by experienced race engineers Nick Hart and Chris Richards.
Chadwick looked into a number of avenues for the 2014 seasons, including the Clio Cup Series and Ginetta GT4 Supercup, before choosing the GT5 Challenge.
“We gave a lot of consideration to our options for this year, and the GT5 Challenge best dovetails into my current ambitions, alongside my education and flying commitments,” said Chadwick.
“It’s growing into a very exciting Series and I’m delighted to be remaining a part of the excellent Ginetta dynasty. It’s also great to be working with Chris and Nick in their new venture.”
Richards added: “I’ve worked with Ollie since he first got into a car, and watched him evolve into a really exciting and entertaining driver. He is naturally quick and we think this Series will suit his maturing style.”
