The GP2 series pre-season testing resumes tomorrow at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain. The thirteen teams are back on track barely a week after the initial test in Abu Dhabi where Jolyon Palmer and his DAMS team posted the fastest times of the week.
There are still three drives still up for grabs at MP Motorsport, Trident Racing and Venezuela GP Lazarus ahead of the first race of the season, which also will take place at the Bahrain International Circuit in April. British driver Jon Lancaster continues testing for MP, and American Conor Daly for Lazarus, but Zimbabwean Axcil Jefferies is no longer testing for Trident, with Italian Auto GP champion Vittorio Ghirelli taking his spot, for the first day at least.
Everyone will be hoping for some productive time on track, with the season fast approaching. This test might give a better indication of who is genuinely going to be a championship contender during the 2014 GP2 series season.
