A new CBBC series, The Racing Set, airs this week focusing on the fortunes of four of the stars of the Ginetta Junior Championship.
Filmed over the course of the 2013 season, the programme follows HHC Motorsport’s Harry Woodhead and James Kellett, who ended the season as main champion and Rookie champion respectively, and JHR Developments’ sibling team-mates Ollie and Jamie Chadwick, the latter having been the Ginetta Scholarship winner for the year.
The five-part series, produced by markthree media in association with Watershed TV, starts on Monday (14th April), and each episode will broadcast twice a day at 07:45 and 16:05 over the course of the week.
“At CBBC, we reflect real lives back at our viewers and I’m hoping that this series will inspire them to follow their dreams, whatever they are, just as we see these teenagers doing,” said CBBC executive producer Kez Magrie.
“Across the five episodes, we get a real insight into the highs and lows of a racing season, giving a true picture of the intense pressures faced by Jamie, James, Ollie and Harry, and we’re sure that CBBC viewers will enjoy this exclusive look at this exciting world.”
