As of April 10th online gamers will be able to drive the famous Long Beach circuit on a Forza Motorsport game for the first time.
Being made available as part of the latest Forza Motorsport 5 content update, the tight turns and fast straights will be surrounded by the beauty of the immensely detailed Southern California skyline, recreated with obsessive precision through laser scanning, thousands of photos and hours of video.
The launch of the eleven-turn, 1.97-mile circuit coincides with the 40th running of the Grand Prix of Long Beach this weekend, while the game will also offer the opportunity to drive the shorter East Loop and the half-mile West Loop.
Long Beach, like any track add-ons for Forza Motorsport 5, will be available in all game modes, and will also include new events in Career mode, new Rivals and multiplayer lobbies to challenge friends.
As well as the new circuit, five new cars will be available with the Long Beach Booster Pack. The 1977 Ford Coyote Gilmore77, the 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale, the 1956 Jaguar D-Type, the 1998 Mercedes-Benz AMG Mercedes CLK GTR and the 1971 #2 Ferrari Automobili 312 P will all be available to drive, and Forza Motorsport 5 Car Pass owners will be able to download these at no additional charge.
