Smith Aiming For More Podium Success At Donington

1 Mins read

Rob Smith is aiming to increase his lead in the ‘Graduate Cup’ class of the 2014 Renault UK Clio Cup when the category heads to Donington Park this Easter weekend.

The Team Pyro racer secured his maiden Clio Cup podium at the season opener at Brands Hatch two weeks ago, and is hoping to add to his tally at his adopted ‘home’ track at the weekend.

Smith, who secured a hard fought second in the opening race of the season, picked up a pair of top ten finishes at Donington during the corresponding event twelve months ago.

“Brands was a great weekend for us and the sort of start to the season we were hoping for,” said Smith. “I really think we can challenge for the podium again this weekend, the season has started well and as long as we can have a good run in testing and get the set-up nailed we should be looking pretty strong.”
