Brad Bailey will make a return to a Ginetta G40 cockpit at the next round of the 2014 Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge at Silverstone it has been confirmed.
Bailey spent two years in the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2010 & 2011, before he graduated into the Ginetta GT5 Challenge where he remained for two seasons, finishing 3rd overall in 2013 following six podium finishes across seven meetings.
But despite opting to take a year out owing to job commitments, Bailey has announced his return for Silverstone at the end of June and the Spa-Francorchamps later in the season, again racing in his self-prepared G40.
Speaking of his return, Bailey said he was excited by the prospect of being back out on the track once again. “I am really looking forward to racing again, I’ve only been away since October but I have very much missed the competitiveness of the series and the great crowd in the paddock.
“Brad Bailey Racing has proven we can run a quick, successful car and we are keen to see it back in podium positions this weekend.”
Alongside his return to the series, is the announcement that the Brad Bailey Racing Ginetta G40 GT5 Challenge car is also available for both new and returning drivers, wishing to be a part of the family-run team.
“I know the car inside out as well as all the tracks raced in the championship, so I believe I can be a great support to any existing or new drivers having excellent knowledge of the right setup and data for all circuits.”
Bailey will be back out on track at the next round of the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge on 31st May-1st June at Silverstone.
