1 Mins read

Hungarian Tamas Pal Kiss was fastest in the opening Auto GP World Series free practice session in Monza. The Zele Racing driver outpaced Italians Andrea Roda and Michela Cerruti around the legendary Italian circuit.

The best lap time for Pal Kiss was almost half a second clear of the chasing pack, with Virtuosi UK’s Roda the only driver to get within a second of the Hungarian. Leading Super Nova International driver Cerruti was third but 1.210s back from the leader.

Fourth was the second Super Nova of German driver Markus Pommer ahead of the two Japanese Euronova Racing machines, with debutant Shinya Michimi ahead of the more experienced Yoshitaka Kuroda.

Kevin Giovesi was seventh for Eurotech Engineering, while the second series debutant Christof von Grunigen was eighth for Zele Racing. Michele La Rosa in the MLR71 by Euronova machine was ninth, with Giuseppe Cipriani tenth for Ibiza Racing Team.

Loris Spinelli (Eurotech), Samin Gomez (Zele) and Francesco Dracone (Super Nova) were the other drivers to get on track during the session. The second Virtuosi UK entry never got on track, with no driver officially announced on the entry list so far.
