Steve Arpin Brings #00 To Global RallyCross

1 Mins read

Steve Arpin has announced a full season of racing in the Red Bull Global Rallycross series with OMSE2 for a second season.

Driving the #00 Royal Purple Ford Fiesta Arpin heads in to the new season with the big prize in his sights. “I’m really excited to return to Red Bull Global Rallycross this season,” said Arpin. “I learned a lot about what it takes to succeed in GRC last year, and I’m looking forward to applying my newly gained experience and knowledge this year. We are going to go hard for the championship. I can’t wait to get this season started!”

Arpin brings the #00 to Rallycross after making it famous as a dirt racer across North America in a chapter of his career that saw him take 35 feature wins along with the 2006 and 2007 titles.

“I could not be happier about working with Royal Purple for a second consecutive year,” said Arpin. “After getting to know them during our time together last year, it was easy to see why they are such a successful company.

“Having Royal Purple in Red Bull Global Rallycross generates the perfect recipe for a strong partnership—their high-performance lubricant lends itself seamlessly to our Ford Fiesta while meeting every demand of this sport. Their product speaks for itself, and I am honored to be able to cultivate my career along with this remarkable and emerging company.”

“We are excited to continue our association with Steve in the Red Bull Global Rallycross for 2014,” said Randy Fisher, Royal Purple Marketing Director. “Throughout his first year campaign Steve had shown the ability to outperform on the track, so we look forward to him continuing his growth in the Supercar series and achieving success in the Royal Purple #00.”

The 2014 Red Bull Global Rallycross season opens on May 17-18 as part of Top Gear Festival Barbados and continues with nine races in the United States, including a June 7 appearance at X Games Austin.
