Brazilian driver Andre Negrao will miss this weekend’s Spanish round of the GP2 Series with a back injury, with Frenchman Tom Dillmann making a return to the series in his place at Arden International.
Arden are hopeful Negrao will be back to drive for them alongside Rene Binder for the next race weekend at Monaco at the end of the month, but have joined forces with Dillmann, who raced last year for Russian Time in GP2, for Barcelona.
Dillmann is a former race winner in the series, winning the Bahrain Sprint race for Rapax in 2012, and took two third-places in 2013 with Russian Time. Before Igor Mazepa’s untimely death during the off-season, Dillmann had been in line to continue to race with Russian Time, but his passing saw that opportunity disappear.
We at TCF wish Andre Negrao a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on track in Monte Carlo.
