Viking Warrior Isachsen Ready For GRC Assault

1 Mins read

Three-time European Rallycross Champion Sverre Isachsen is looking to add another title to his racing CV this year competing once again in the Red Bull Global Rallycross Championship for his third season at Subaru alongside Bucky Lasek and Travis Pastrana.

While Isachsen isn’t new to Subaru, the 2014 WRX STI is, “The new car is completely raw. I know a few things about the building rallycross cars, and this car I have got what I want.” explained the ‘Viking Warrior’.

“The car was ready last fall, and we have used the winter to test it. I can hardly wait to try it in the context of a race weekend,”

While Isachsen is positive about the weekend ahead he realises the track probably suits the Ford’s better, but he is still going to give it his all in Barbados.

“The goal is to win a race in GRC this season and this vehicle should do it. The car will also be more developed later in the season.” he added.

Round one of the Red Bull Global Rallycross Championship gets underway this weekend at the Top Gear Festival Barbados before heading to Austin, Texas as part of the X Games.
