Fans Flock to Sun Soaked SpeedFest

1 Mins read

The sun came out to play at Brands Hatch as thousands of fans took to the Kent circuit for a transatlantic celebration at American SpeedFest II.

The on-track action was headlined once again by the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, with Ander Vilarino and Wilfried Boucenna taking a victory apiece, Vilarino claiming a commanding win in the top class. Meanwhile the home fans had something to cheer for as guest driver Bradley Smith stormed from the back of the pack to eighth in his NASCAR debut.

Other racing entertainment came in the form of Can-Am cars, V8s and pickup trucks, with displays of two powerful dragsters and a stunning parade of American vehicles around the Indy Circuit bringing the curtain down on another successful SpeedFest.

Away from the track, fans were also treated to more popular sounds of America on the Victory Lane Live Music stage, featuring El Camino, Houndogs, Fat Walters Band and Elvis. Further attractions around the circuit included the Live Action Arena’s Monster Trucks and Big Air Show of mountainboarders, while a high ropes course, zipline and a freejump platform put fans’ nerves to the test.
