Joe Fulbrook got the better of teammate Aaron Mason to take victory in race one of the Miltek Sport Volkswagen Racing Cup round at Snetterton.
The AWM Warranty Direct pairing capitalised on their front-row lock out in qualifying to lead from the start, until an uncharacteristic mistake at Oggies on the sixth lap of nine from Mason gifted the win to Fulbrook.
With the teammates duelling out front, it was left to Lucas Orrock to come up with the goods for best of the rest, with the KPM Racing man making up for a poor weekend last time out at Silverstone to take the final step of the podium.
Pushing Orrock all race-long was Stefan Di Resta, who unlike the former enjoyed a strong showing at Silverstone and continued that form in race one at Snetterton, despite losing out to Orrock on the penultimate lap of the race.
Rounding out the top five was Stewart Lines, who withstood a late charge from the third AWM Warranty Direct Scirocco of Josh Caygill, who takes pole for race two.
Behind the battling duo was teenager Jack Walker-Tully for Cooke & Mason, with Howard Fuller, Chris Panayiotou and Sam Morgan completing the top ten.
