Giovesi Strolls to Monza Race 2 Win

Kevin Giovesi took his second win of the Auto GP World Series season in race two at Monza. The Eurotech Engineering driver dominated after starting the race from pole position after finishing eighth in race one.

Fellow Italian Andrea Roda took his best result to date in Auto GP with second place for Virtuosi UK, while Markus Pommer took third place and a 20,000€ bonus for being the best driver of the weekend, the Super Nova International driver adding a podium to his race one victory.

Yoshitaka Kuroda had a much better race two for Euronova Racing with fourth place, the Japanese driver relegating Tamas Pal Kiss of Zele Racing to fifth. Debutant Shinya Michimi was sixth for Euronova, while race one podium finisher Michela Cerruti was seventh in the second Super Nova machine.

A fourth Italian in the race Giuseppe Cipriani was eighth for Ibiza Racing Team ahead of another debutant Christof von Grunigen for ninth for Zele Racing, while a fifth Italian Francesco Dracone was tenth for Super Nova.

With Championship leader Kimiya Sato absent from Monza, the Japanese drivers lead has been reduced to just eight points from Pommer, with Pal Kiss a further five points behind in third.
