A new team is set to enter the Ginetta Junior Championship, with Elite Motorsport announcing plans to join the grid for the upcoming Winter Series ahead of a full entry in the 2015 series.
The team, formed in 2011, have made a name for themselves in recent seasons racing an Elite Pulse within the 750 Motor Club Sports Specials Championship, with their 2014 season seeing them take six lap records en-route to the championship title.
With part-sponsorship secured, Elite are now planning to run two cars in the Kick Start Energy-backed Juniors, starting with the Winter Series on November 8/9.
“Having had a great year proving our team and engineering, it is now time to progress into a higher profile championship,” said team boss Eddie Ives.
“With reasonable racing costs and being on the BTCC Support package, Ginetta Juniors offers the best package in the UK for young drivers.
“We plan to have three Ginetta Junior cars racing by 2016 and we are prepared to offer generous incentives to secure the best drivers.”
