Dan Holland will mount his first full season assault on the Renault UK Clio Cup next year with JamSport, having impressed during a late entry this season with the Northampton-based team.
Holland stepped up to the BTCC support series for the final two rounds of this season at Rockingham and Brands Hatch, having previously competed in the Ford Fiesta ST Championship since the start of 2013.
Showing strong pace and racecraft from the off, Holland gained a total of twenty places from his starting positions en-route to a pair of seventh place finishes at Rockingham and a fourth in the season finale at Brands, the latter coming after an opening race retirement.
The 27 year old has purchased his own fourth-generation Clio racer ahead of 2015 and has already been out winter testing to get to grips with his Clio as he prepares to partner rookie George Jackson in the JamSport entry.
“I’m definitely aiming for the podium next season, you don’t go out there to make the numbers up that’s for sure,” said Holland. “I struggled a bit with the braking in the Clio initially, but with last week’s first winter test I’ve now mastered the issues I was having.
“With a bit more practice, and we are doing quite a bit of testing alongside new team-mate George [Jackson], I’m sure we’ll be right up there. We just need to get some more budget in before the start of the season.”
