Visser retains AVF drive for 2015

1 Mins read

19-year-old Beitske Visser has been confirmed to remain at Adrian VallesAVF team in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series for the 2015 season.

After making a dramatic leap up the motorsport ladder in 2014, Visser tested with AVF in both the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 Series and Formula Renault 3.5 series during pre-season before deciding to race the bigger cars last season.

She was the only female in the field but showed genuine progress during the year, scoring points twice including an excellent fifth place in race one at the season finale in Jerez, and will be wanting to continue her development into her second season to become a regular visitor to the points.

“I can’t wait to go back on the car and start preparing for the next World Series Renault 3.5,” said Visser. “So far it’s been a great challenge, with some up-and-downs and experiences, but thanks to the great job done by my engineer and by all the AVF personnel I made constant steps that enabled me to get closer and closer to the front end of the charts.

“I’m convinced that we’ll be off to a new step forward in 2015, and I hope for some great satisfactions”.

Team Principal Valles, himself a former Formula Renault 3.5 Series drive back in 2005 for Pons Racing and 2009 for Epsilon Euskadi, was happy to be able to retain Visser for 2015.

“We are happy to continue the work stared this year with Beitske in 2015,” insisted Valles. “She joined us after running with the small Formula ADAC Masters cars and she did a great job, growing up consistently and demonstrating that she can be a top-10 runner.

“In the postseason testing, she improved even further, finding more and more self confidence. I can’t hide that for next season I expect some top-class results and I hope we will be fighting to stay constantly among the top-5”.
