Tuthill Porsche have announced it will be entering their Porsche 911 R-GT rally car in to the 2015 FIA R-GT Championship with François Delecour once again taking on the driving duties.

In 2014 the team run the Porsche at a number of events including promising outings in Germany and France. The team were due to enter the final rally of the season at Wales Rally GB but couldn’t get homologation in time for the event.

“From the outset, we have been enthusiastic supporters of the R-GT concept, which sees the most evocative sports cars become eligible for international rallying again” said Richard Tuthill, team owner.

“Our car has proven itself to be both quick and robust in the outings so far, as well as extremely cost-effective to operate.”

Talking of multiple WRC rally winning driver Delacour, Tuthill thanked the Frenchman for his commitment to the team.

“It’s been a very tight schedule to put everything together in time, but the whole team has worked extremely hard on this. We are optimistic of a good outcome in two weeks’ time.”

Delecour added: “It is fantastic to be driving in R-GT Cup, it’s a fantastic opportunity.  There are some really nice rallies, but for sure, Monte Carlo will be the most difficult.

“It is fantastic to be driving the Tuthill Porsche 911 again. You know, this is my rally, the Monte and to be here in a Porsche is the dream for me.”

Following the first round in Monte-Carlo in January, the series moves on to the Ypres Rally, Rally Germany, Rally Valais and the Tour of Corsica.
