DTM to host ADAC Formula 4 at Oschersleben

1 Mins read

The inaugural season of the German-based ADAC Formula 4 Championship will visit Oschersleben as part of the DTM Touring Car Series in September.

The other seven rounds of the season will be supporting the ADAC GT Masters, taking over the role of the German Formula 3, which is taking a hiatus in 2015 due to dwindling entry levels.

“We are very pleased that ADAC Formula 4 will feature as part of the DTM this year,” said ADAC Director Motorsport and Classic Lars Soutschka. “The DTM and the ADAC GT Masters can hardly be bettered as settings for the debut season of our junior open-wheel series.

“Spectators can look forward to exciting racing and a terrific field of competitors. The response of teams and drivers to the new ADAC Formula 4 has exceeded even our expectations.”

The DTM round over the weekend of 11-13 September will be the ADAC Formula 4 series’ second visit to Oschersleben, with the season opening up at the circuit over the weekend of 24-26 April. A visit to the Red Bull Ring in Austria follows in June, before another trip abroad to Belgium and Spa-Francorchamps.

Further rounds follow at the Lausitzring, Nurburgring and Sachesenring, before the second trip to Oschersleben, while the season concludes at Hockenheim over the weekend of 02-04 October.
