Sophia Floersch has been confirmed as HHC Motorsport’s third and final driver for the 2015 Kick Start Energy Ginetta Junior Championship.

The 14 year old has already amassed seven years of international karting experience, winning the SAKC Bambini and European Easykart titles along the way.

The German will now make her car-racing debut this year, teaming up with 2012 and 2013 Ginetta Junior champions HHC, and she got to grips with her new G40J during a test at Brands Hatch earlier this month.

“I am very happy to be taking part in the KICK Start Energy Ginetta Junior Championship with HHC Motorsport. The team is one of the top teams in British Motorsport, and we have seen this already in some tests we have completed as we were able to be very fast,” said Floersch.

“I am looking forward to some hard work throughout the season and it is my aim to show some good racing during the year. I am excited to be in such a strong championship and am looking forward to getting to know many of the famous British racing circuits.”

Floersch joins reigning Winter Series champion Jamie Caroline and fellow newcomer Patrik Matthiessen in the HHC ranks.

“I am very happy to be welcoming Sophia to our team for 2015,” added HHC’s Charlie Kemp.

“From the first day we tested with Sophia we knew she was something special. We will be mounting a strong challenge for the Rookie Championship, along with aiming for overall podiums by the end of the season.”
