Pirelli launch new Twitter page ahead of new WSBK season

1 Mins read

The eni World Superbike Championship’s sole tyre supplier, Pirelli, has launched a new Twitter page to create a new way for riders and fans to communicate with them ahead of the new season.

The @PirelliMoto Twitter channel will keep riders and fans up-to-date with all the latest National and International motorcycle news, along with real-time updates, on all of championships that the Milanese company are involved with.

Pirelli have been the sole-supplier of tyres for WSBK since 2004 and have recently renewed their contract for a further three years, meaning that they will be providing WSBK teams with tyres until the end of the 2018 season.

Alongside the new Twitter page Pirelli are also launching a campaign through the social-media website, which has strategically been launched during the week of Valentine’s Day.

The #ILoveMyMoto campaign has been created to allow fans to tweet Pirelli with a photo that shows their love for the motorcycle.  Pirelli will then retweet these images in order to spread the love for the motorcycle around the world.

The new campaign isn’t just for Valentine’s Day though and the tyre manufacturer will be asking fans and riders to publish their own photos using the hashtag throughout the year.

The 2015 WSBK season gets underway next weekend in Australia, at the famous Phillip Island circuit.
