Falken Tyre Europe Confirms Nurburgring 24 Return

1 Mins read

Falken Tyre Europe has confirmed its plans for the 2015 season, with the Japanese tyre manufacturer opting for a partial VLN campaign and a return to the Nurburgring 24 Hours.

Last year’s driver line-up of Peter Dumbreck, Alexandre Imperatori, Martin Ragginger and Wolf Henzler will be retained for the team’s GT3 campaign. The experienced quartet will once again share the Falken-liveried Porsche 911 GT3 R that finished fourth overall at the Nurburgring 24 Hours last season, covering over 3,900 km.

“Our strength is our team spirit, good tyres, top drivers, a great pit crew, engineers who are on the ball and a proven car,” said team manager Sven Schnabl. “We can still deliver a strong result with this car.”

In addition to the famous ADAC-run Nurburgring 24 Hours on May 14-17, Falken Tyre Europe will compete in selected rounds of the VLN championship, which focuses specifically on the 154 turn, 29.94 km German circuit.

Falken Motorsport’s factory-backed North American squad will continue its Tudor United Sportscar Championship campaign at the Sebring 12 Hours on March 21.
