Martins Confirmed At SWB Motorsport For MSA Formula

1 Mins read

Brazilian racer Rafael Martins has been named as SWB Motorsport’s second driver for the inaugural MSA Formula season in 2015.

The 16 year old will join former Protyre Formula Renault Championship racer Jack Butel at the Daventry-based outfit.

Martins has got to grips with his MSA Formula car during the recent official timed test days at Brands Hatch and Snetterton.

Team manager Simon Baldry was impressed with his progress: “It was Rafa’s first proper experience of a racing car and he acquitted himself well.

“Brands Hatch was very wet and not a great learning experience but the Snetterton test was dry and very productive and he covered 70 laps.

“We were happy with the times he did and with the feedback he gave us about the new car; he’s a sensible lad and he does what he’s told, and I think he will be one to watch as the season progresses.”
