Vaidyanathan Confirms Dual UK Formula 4 Campaigns

1 Mins read

Indian car-racing rookie Ameya Vaidyanathan will compete in both the Duo BRDC Formula 4 Championship and the new MSA Formula series this season with Hillspeed and JTR respectively.

The 18 year old, who is part of the Comtek Driver Development stable, recently completed his studies at Eton College in the UK and is now focusing on pursuing a career in motorsport.

After completing his first test with Hillspeed in autumn last year, Vaidyanathan has taken part in an extensive winter testing programme in the team’s BRDC F4 racer alongside programmes in a Ginetta GT5 Challenge car and MSA Formula machinery.

Vaidyanathan had been running with Team Pyro for his MSA Formula testing, but has elected to run with JTR for the season, though will miss the opening meeting at Brands Hatch next weekend due to a clash between the two championship’s calendars.

The London-based racer is the second Indian driver confirmed in MSA Formula this year, joining Tarun Reddy at Double R Racing, and completes a three-car line-up for JTR alongside Daniel Baybutt and James Pull.

He also completes a three-car entry for Hillspeed, joining South African Sebastian Lanzetti and Oman’s Al Faisal Al Zubair in a cosmopolitan line-up.
