Louise Richardson Back on the Grid with Richardson Racing MSA Formula Drive

1 Mins read

Louise Richardson will be heading back to the race track this weekend with Richardson Racing for the opening rounds of the 2015 MSA Formula season at Brands Hatch.

Richardson Racing also confirmed it will be their only entry this for this weekend. The team had tested a number of drivers before the season but has decided to only field one car, with Louise Richardson making her début at the wheel of the new Ford EcoBoost-powered machine on the Saturday.

While she admits that she will be on the back foot, she insists she can catch up. “Ideally I just want to secure three good finishes and have a solid base to build on for the next round.” she said.

“Having not been in a car since the final round of Formula Ford last year, I’m really looking forward to finally getting back on track.” She went on to say “I’m hopeful that we won’t be too far off the pace but we’ll just have to see where we are come Friday morning and take it one step at a time from there.”

Richardson, who finished 9th in last years Formula Ford championship also won at Brands Hatch in 2010 and has plenty of previous racing experience. She will also be interviewed by Sky Sports over the weekend for an upcoming feature, but will look to focus on racing in due course.

The team hasn’t given up entirely on a second seat and will be hoping to fill it before the next round at Donington Park sd they are already in talks with a variety of drivers.
