Regalia signs up to Auto GP with FMS Racing

1 Mins read

Facu Regalia has agreed to race for FMS Racing during the 2015 Auto GP Season that gets underway this weekend in Hungary.

The twenty-three-year-old Argentine is the first driver to be confirmed to the team, having seen his Formula Renault 3.5 delayed when first Zeta Corse and then Comtec Racing were unable to race last weekend at Motorland Aragon.

The former GP3 Series runner-up, who competed a troubled partial season in the GP2 Series in 2014 with Hilmer Motorsport, is looking to getting out on track this weekend at the Hungaroring.

“I’m delighted to be back to an important series like Auto GP,” insisted Regalia, who raced in a few races for Campos Racing in Auto GP back in 2012. “In 2012, I didn’t run a full season but now I will. The goal is to stay at the front the whole time and being in the fight for the title.

“I like the Hungaroring. I already won there in the European F.3 championship and came third on my debut in the Auto GP series three years ago. It would be great to kick-off the season with a win”.
