Regalia leads Pizzonia in Silverstone FP2

1 Mins read

Facu Regalia ended the second free practice session at Silverstone with the quickest time, with the Argentine driver more than eight tenths of a second clear of the rest of the field.

The FMS Racing driver set a best time of 1m45.993s to beat morning pacesetter Antonio Pizzonia of Zele Racing by 0.840s, with those two drivers once again the class of the field.

Third placed Luis Sa Silva was more than two seconds adrift of the pace in a second Zele Racing entry, with Giuseppe Cipriani placed for Ibiza Racing Team.

Christof von Grünigen was fifth for Paolo Coloni Racing but more than 3.1 seconds slower than Regalia, while Nikita Zlobin of Virtuosi UK and Andres Mendez of Zele Racing were sixth and seventh respectively.

Only seven cars took to the track for the second session, with the second Paolo Coloni Racing entry not appearing, with doubts about whether or not Loris Spinelli will be able continue to drive that car this weekend after participating in first practice due to a technical issue.
