Renault UK Clio Cup: Thruxton Highlights

1 Mins read

The Renault UK Clio Cup returned to the fearsome Thruxton circuit three weeks ago, with the high-speed nature of the Hampshire track producing two enthralling slipstream-filled races.

The star of the weekend turned out to be Ash Hand, who led qualifying with a double pole position and went on to lead both races from lights-to-flag to make it three wins in the last four races for the Team Pyro ace.

His team-mate Ashley Sutton followed him home in every session for a Pyro one-two, while Ant Whorton-Eales bounced back from a tough qualifying session to finish third and fourth in the races to maintain his championship lead.

Here’s a look back at the action from Thruxton courtesy of Renaultsport and ITV:

The Renault UK Clio Cup is back in action next weekend (6/7 June) at Oulton Park in Cheshire.
