Teams and drivers from the Renault UK Clio Cup are set to provide high speed demonstration runs on the street of Coventry later this month (Sat 30/Sun 31 May) as part of the Coventry MotoFest event.

Championship leader Ant Whorton-Eales will demonstrate his SV Racing fourth-generation Clio at the event, alongside JamSport Racing pairing Dan Holland and George Jackson, and 20Ten Racing’s Jordan Stilp.

The demonstration runs will take place on a specifically designed 1.5 mile street circuit based around Coventry’s ring road, with the event having attracted over 70,000 spectators last year.

“We are so excited to have the Renault UK Clio Cup teams at Motofest 2015. The Clio Cup is very popular and provides a fantastic spectacle for the crowds who regularly flock to catch the championship action,” said Festival Director James Noble.

“It’s going to be an amazing spectacle for all those attending and we give thanks to the Clio Cup teams for providing Motofest with the chance see up close some incredible vehicles being put through their paces on our new sprint circuit.”

Renault UK Clio Cup Championship Manager Will Fewkes added: “This is a magnificent opportunity for the Clio Cup’s drivers and teams to further promote themselves in front of huge numbers of people beyond the already terrific exposure they receive at British Touring Car events.

“The Coventry MotoFest organisers surpassed all expectations with their trial event in 2014 and 2015’s looks all set to be even bigger and better. We are very pleased to be able to add to the spectacle for all those attending this year’s event.”
