Race three of the 2015 BRDC Formula 4 Championship‘s Silverstone round was won by Will Palmer, who was also victorious in yesterday’s Race 1. He crossed the line 8.3 seconds ahead of Harrison Newey.
Starting from pole position, Palmer survived an attack from Jordan Albert and led every lap of the race. By the end of the opening lap, he led Albert, Ciaran Haggerty, Race 2 winner Rodrigo Fonesca and Harri Newey.
On the second lap, the battle for 2nd position was getting very strong, and by lap 5, Newey had made it up to 2nd, after passing Albert with a bold move on the outside of Brooklands. The next important move would come from Fonseca on lap 7, who overtook Albert at Vale, in order to gain P3.
Despite winning the race by a comfortable margin, Palmer was still pushing hard at the end of the race, and set the best lap time on the final lap, a 2:05.403. He crossed the line in first, ahead of Newey, Fonseca, Albert and Riki Christodoulou.
