Confident Caroline Eyes Croft Ginetta Junior Wins

1 Mins read

Jamie Caroline is looking to follow up his double win at Oulton Park at the start of the month with some more victories in the Ginetta Junior Championship this weekend at Croft.

Caroline’s two wins in Cheshire have propelled the Pirtek-backed teenager into second place in the standings heading to Yorkshire this weekend for his HHC Motorsport team’s home meeting.

After gaining fifteen points on championship leader Senna Proctor last time out, Caroline wants to close the gap further heading into the six week summer break after the meeting, but is wary that home advantage could favour Yorkshireman Proctor.

“We’ve shown that we can get the wins and now we’ve sorted the car we’re going all out to win again,” said Caroline. “HHC has done a lot of work on the car since Thruxton and that really showed at Oulton Park. Another two wins at Croft would be great for me and the team.

“We tested at Croft a couple of months ago and we had good pace, plus we went well in the races last year although we didn’t get the results. It is Senna Proctor’s home track so he’s going to be very strong, but I feel very confident about Croft now we’ve had the two wins at Oulton Park.”
