Rookie Grady Bolsters TCR’s Ginetta Squad To Four

1 Mins read

Connor Grady has teamed up with Total Control Racing to contest the remainder of the 2015 Ginetta Junior Championship, starting this weekend at Croft.

The 14 year old joins the series having previously competed this season in the Ford Fiesta Junior Championship, in which he became a podium finisher on his series debut.

The Surrey-based racer has some Ginetta experience though, having contested last November’s Junior Winter Series with R&J Motorsport, securing a pair of top twelve finishes.

Grady joins Matt Chapman, Cameron Roberts and close friend Dave Wooder in TCR’s expanded line-up, with Wooder and Grady having close links from their karting days.

“I’m really looking forward to Croft next weekend and being part of TCR, it’s a great team and they do a really good job – it was a no brainer to join the team,” said Grady.

“I’ve been best mates with Dave for three or four years and his dad ran me in Honda Cadets in karting, so it’ll be great racing alongside him, and Matt and Cameron too.

“It’s gone well so far this year in the Fiestas, but we wanted closer racing and a bigger grid so I can learn as much as I can. I’m looking at this as a learning year ready for next season in the Ginettas, hopefully we can make a good start at Croft.”
